Additional questions 2: What strategies and approaches can industry professionals and academics collaborate on to overcome barriers and leverage opportunities for agile production in today’s rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape? Where should we as a community set our priorities?

Workshop Description: This workshop led by the TG Industrial Robotics, is dedicated to challenges and opportunities confronting the industry as it strives to establish more flexible production practices. In an era marked by rapid technological advancements and continually evolving consumer demands, the manufacturing sector is experiencing an unprecedented transformation. This shift, coupled with global supply chain and labour shortage challenges, reinforces the need for agile production systems. During this workshop, industry and academics will come together to share their insights on the challenges and opportunities in the realm of agile production. Following presentations, participants will engage in group discussions centered around topics raised during the keynotes. Discussions will focus on various technological, economic, and operational barriers and facilitators in the pursuit of agile production.
