Workshop Description: The proposed workshop aims to foster a two-way exchange between the latest research outcomes in EU projects AERO-TRAIN and Drones4Safety related to automatic recharge, contact inspection, aerial manipulation, teleportation, AI, and Human-Robot Interaction and the industry and end-users’ experiences, requirements, and necessities. To do so, an interactive session containing a series of talks, led on its majority by PhD candidates, will pave the way for an open discussion panel welcoming all attendees. The forum will explore the current technological maturity in aerial robotics for inspection missions, while also shedding light on the critical gaps that are still to be solved. Prior to the event, we will promote it on our social media channels. Afterward, a detailed summary, featuring ESR presentations and poll results, will be available on the projects website, ensuring easy access to valuable insights and knowledge shared during the workshop.

Approach: – 8 min intro + mentimeter to categorize the background of the assitants – 3x 7 minutes talks + 5min questions around main AERO-TRAIN pilars, Aerial manipulation technologies, Human-machine interaction and Remote Operation and Human interfaces. – 3x 7 minutes talks + 5min questions around main Drones4safety.
