Platforms and networks for smart robots uptake

Track: B2B and Innovation

Date and Time: 14 Mar 2023 08:30-09:50, room Faro

Organisers: Anastasia Garbi, Andrea Bettoni, 0 0, 0 0

Main questions to be answered – Q1: What are the AI challenges for the smart robotics take up?

Main questions to be answered – Q2: What is the linking substance of a DIH network?

Main questions to be answered – Q3: How tools and platforms can facilitate the smart robotics? What keeps SMEs active in a community?

Workshop Description: The robotic update in the various regions brought together various DIHs to network and co-create, platforms and tools to offer to SMEs to accelerate the adoption of automation, digitisation and AI. This workshop takes a view on the available tools and networks, their linking material (what they have in common), what they need to further develop and how all this can come together to ensure this acceleration on the one hand and on the other hand to ensure their sustainability. What are the factors that will enable success? What is the penentration of the currently available technologies? What is blocking further uptake and how this can be addressed?

Intended Outcome: Workshop covering material new to ERF that the Robotics community should engage with, Workshop on recent developments in technology or applications

Approach: Presentations of 8 mins by various parties and panel discussion with the audience. Introduction, agenda and Moderation (Anastasia Garbi, ED) 7 mins Starting with Automation- +BF (Panagiotis Bouklis, ED) 8 mins Start with AI in manufacturing (KIT4SME) (Andrea Bettoni, SUPSI) 8 mins Data as enabler from SMEs to value chains (Fransisco Melendez, FIWARE), 8 mins The soft aspects of Networking DIHs (MWC) 8 mins Networks’ Sustainability (FBOX) 8 mins Panel discussion 32 mins How these established tools and networks can cope with the upcoming challenges (Environmental, sustainability, circularity?) How do SMEs and Regions take up these concepts? How the networks motivate further take up of technology? What keeps SMEs active in a community? Polls with Audience and discussion with Panel members. DIH representatives, Daniel Serano Lopez (Eurecat, SP), Davorka (ICENT, KR), Savisa (ETF, RS), Andreas Prodromou (CUT, CY).
