TG Safety -Challenges and Innovations

Track: Safety

Date and Time: 13 Mar 2024 08:00-09:20

Organisers: Magnus Albert, José Saenz

Main questions to be answered: How can digitalization facilitate safety in robotics?

Additional questions: Which safety challenges are limiting robotics and how can these be overcome

Additional questions 2: Which technologies and approaches should we as a robotics safety community advance and promote?

Workshop Description: The annual workshop of TG Safety is dedicated to the discussion of major challenges, use-cases, technologies and innovations for the safety of robotics systems. The goal is to identify major topics that can be addressed by the TG Safety community within euRobotics in the coming years.

Intended Outcome: Workshop on recent developments in technology or applications, Workshops engaging non-roboticists to understand needs/goals (policy, commercial, technical), Workshop covering material new to ERF that the Robotics community should engage with

Approach: Fish-bowl discussion: 3 short pitches (15min) addressing major innovations and challenges to kick-off the discussion. Interactive Fish-bowl discussion with the speakers and the participants of the workshop
